7th Week

My week went pretty well. Got the assignment done. I had an awesome time working with Matagi. Went to the workshop last few weeks, spent some time with Matagi, my group mate. It was very interesting as I learned how to the automotive in New Zealand work. Feeling a bit stressed as assignments keep coming in. It is not very easy to work on my assignments because back in Malaysia, Universities were all exam based. This is a new change and I am still taking time to adapt. I got 12/20 for my Societal Context 1st module. It wasn't what I was expecting, feeling quite down about it but at least there is still time and room for improvements. Having a very positive feeling with the upcoming assignments and modules. That's the summary for my week.

4th Week

It was quite a hectic week for me as the datelines for the assignments are getting closer. Lots of research has been done and still struggling to keep up. Still planning a day to check out the workshop with Matagi. He has been quite busy. We met up but had trouble planning our free time. Matagi is working and he just changed his job so I'll be paying him a visit and check out his new workshop.

3rd Week

The whole week was quite casual for me. Went around checking on workshops. Came across a lot of nice workshops tho. Still planning some schedules with my group mate Matagi and trying to sort out time for all my assignments. Just had a chat with my lecturers from my previous university and they are very impressed and amazed about what I am learning now because everything I am learning about automotive engineering is pretty much outside the box and not just a simple study about a car. Looking forward to next week classes and learning more new things.

2nd Week

Had a good personal session with Mr. David Clarke. It was interesting because I never had this type of class back in Malaysia. I personally think this course is more important than what i thought. Malaysia never implemented such type of classes and I think it is a real waste. Having to go out doing some ground work would be really interesting than sitting in class listening to how a car works. After all I am studying automotive engineering, I should actually get myself more exposed to the overall industry and not only just a car. Now that this subject made me look and think outside the box, I think it would be great understanding how people, customer service and many other factors in the automotive industry work. This is a class that I would really love and enjoy myself with.

1st Week

Entered my first class of APTE 6511, Automotive Professional Practice, having David Clarke as my lecturer. Today got me some exposure in meeting new people. I met Matangi which is also my new group mate and a previous student Mike. This class is interesting because it gives me the chance to go out and explore and not just sit in class. Learning how to collaborate with new people is something interesting I learned in class and not in the working world. This is just the stepping stone for this class as it is just the first week. Hope to learn more in the coming weeks.
